“Fish cleaning included” can answer one question while leaving several others open. Before a trip, separate cleaning, packaging, storage, transport and the legal condition in which fish may be possessed. The end of the fishing day is the beginning of that handoff, not the end of the planning.

Cleaning and packing are different services

VooDoo’s FAQ states that its cleaning is included but vacuum sealing and shipping are not provided as part of that service. It is an operator-specific example of a distinction worth checking on any booking.

Ask who performs the cleaning, where the handoff takes place and what packaging the group receives. Then establish what your own journey needs. A container suitable for a short drive may not answer an extended stay, airline or shipping arrangement.

Louisiana’s saltwater finfish statute addresses intact fish and fish parts aboard vessels, with stated exceptions. Do not translate “cleaning included” into a blanket permission to fillet fish anywhere on the water.

Use the current LDWF finfish guidance, the actual species and the operator’s lawful procedure. A notice proposing a new rule is not proof that it has taken effect. This short planning page does not replace the detailed current rules or decide which exception fits a particular voyage.

Plan who takes what

Agree on the group’s retention preferences and the intended distribution of any legal retained catch before it becomes a cooler problem at the dock. A maximum legal allowance is not a catch promise or a provider obligation to supply that amount.

For flights or shipping, verify the requirements with the actual carrier and service. Do not assume a charter’s cleaning inclusion settles those independent arrangements.
