GROUP COST CALCULATOR
Calculate the cost each equal share would cover.
Use the full quoted charge for everyone going, add separate shared costs once and enter the number of equal paying shares. Keep unresolved costs visible. This calculator works from your entries; use the result alongside the quote and a separate record of deposits and payments.
ENTER YOUR COSTS
Use whole-group costs and equal paying shares.
Start with a written price for the actual group and outing, then add charges not already included. If a listing filled the fields, review its price basis, full guest count and paying shares separately. A prefilled price is a recorded starting point, not a new quote for your date.
For a made-up example, a $600 full-group quote with fuel included plus $100 shared expenses gives $700, or four equal $175 shares with no tip added. Those are teaching amounts, not current trip prices. If a required extra remains unknown, the displayed amount is only the subtotal entered so far.

The calculation adds the base, entered fuel, entered extras and tip, then divides by equal paying shares. Blank fuel or extras stay visibly unanswered even though they contribute nothing to the subtotal. Entering an estimate does not label or verify it; keep that distinction in your own cost notes.
ENTERED COSTS AND EQUAL SHARES
FROM YOUR ENTRIESEnter the group charge and paying shares.
Enter the full boat price and the number of people paying. The result is an equal share of the entered costs. Blank fuel and extras are left out and marked “To confirm”; they are not confirmed free.
If a $150 deposit is credited against the example’s $600 provider charge, the provider balance is $450. The provider charge remains $600, and the $100 shared-expense amount stays separate. Record who advanced money, reimbursements and due dates elsewhere; this calculator has no payment ledger.
Entries remain in the current page session rather than a saved budget or a shareable result link. Keep the quote, itemized costs, assumptions and agreed shares in your trip notes before leaving the page.
Compare the same guests, activity and duration, then read fuel, instruction, equipment and required charges beside the price. A lower base with unknown extras cannot yet be ranked as the lower full cost.
