Request the exact meeting pin, parking instructions and check-in time before choosing where to stay. A business contact address may be different from the fishing departure point. Save the captain's final instructions for the trip, rather than relying on a search-result pin.

Match the boat to your group
For beginners, ask how instruction works and whether the day involves repeated casting, fishing bait or a mixture. For a mixed group, establish comfortable fishing capacity, seating while moving, shade and toilet arrangement on the assigned boat. Ask about the space allowed for bags and coolers; bringing a large fish cooler aboard may not be the same as bringing one for the drive home.
